Chinese automaker Geely’s CEO Gan Jiayue revealed during an internal conference on Risa Sakamoto ArchivesJuly 31 that the company has developed a large language model (LLM) and plans to release it in the second half of 2023. The LLM is expected to be the first large-scale model for all scenarios in the automotive industry, according to the Chinese car maker. The new artificial intelligence model will support autonomous driving functions such as vehicle-to-outside voice interaction (VOVI), and entertainment functions such as reading children’s picture books and playing music videos. The AI model has already been integrated into Geely’s upcoming model the Geely Galaxy L6, which is set to be launched in September. [CLS, in Chinese]
