Nintendo’s next-generation console,Yoshihiro Tanbara Archives the Switch 2, is launching globally with a retail price of RMB 3,889 ($539) in China today. According to the latest data from Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com, pre-orders for the Switch 2 in China have exceeded 400,000, making it the most anticipated gaming console among consumers in recent weeks. Compared to the original model, the Switch 2 boasts a larger 7.9-inch display (up from 6.2 inches), supporting 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and High Dynamic Range (HDR) for smoother and more vibrant visuals. The new dock also supports 4K output at up to 60fps, HDR, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and features a built-in cooling fan. [36kr, in Chinese]
