It's been a rough couple of months for New Zealand. The free x rated moviescountry had a seabed raising-earthquake, and now it's dealing with the surprise exit of its prime minister.

Like the music at the Oscars, the cartoon played off New Zealand's outgoing Prime Minister John Key in a new post with a cheeky parody of Elton John's "Candle In The Wind."
Key announced his resignation quite unexpectedly on Dec. 5, citing a desire to spend more time with family. He was replaced by self-proclaimed purveyor of boring Bill English, who was officially sworn inas prime minister Monday morning.
The fresh face of New Zealand told a reporter from The New Zealand Herald, "I specialise in being boring." Such self assurance in a socially unacceptable personality trait is almost admirable.
Since the announcement of his leadership, social media has been flooded by people a little amused that New Zealand's new leader is as interesting as a soggy cardboard box.

I'm going to be the 39th Prime Minister of New Zealand. Tonight I'm going to celebrate with a nice cup of Milo and a Cameo Creme biscuit.

I turned the radio on to listen to the Bill English interview, 2 minutes in and I fell asleep…he should bottle his boring & sell it…

It's only been 40 minutes but Bill English's New Zealand is already way worse. My toaster won't eject the toast and it's just burning.

Some thought that being boring may actually be an advantage, given the absolute political circus 2016 has become globally.
Why is the media so obsessed with the fact that Bill English quoted some poetry? Rather he quoted poetry than some of the garbage Trump says

not a fan of Bill English but being boring isn't a bad thing. Kind of prefer PM's to be boring otherwise you might get someone like... Trump

Please STFU because that's how nations end up with "entertaining" wank buckets like this in power. pic.twitter.com/Ax75ORs6Ar
If all world leaders could be farewelled with viral videos and meme throwbacks, surely the world would be a better, or at least a dank-er, place.
