The idea of a letter to the would-be first female president is cropping up elsewhere, including Twitter, where the #DearHillary hashtag is an opportunity to pen a 140-character letter to the former secretary of state.

In the Pantsuit Nation Facebook group one woman put together a group letter with over 100,000 digital signatures. She told Mashable in a message that she is hopeful the letter will get to the candidate.
Another group member shared a letter her 12-year-old daughter had written to Clinton in the days after Trump's win.
Letters directed to Clinton herself seem to be a variation on many letters CEOs have sent their employees and celebrities have written to family members about dealing with an unexpected Trump presidency.
